Metin Balcı, General Manager of ULAK Communications Inc., told AA correspondent that with the "Turkey's 5G and Beyond Towards Communication Power" slogan, ULAK Communications lnc, which began operations in August 2017, continues to take concrete steps for end-to-end native and national broadband communication infrastructure.
Within the scope of the Universal Service Project, Balak, stating that the ULAK base stations, which are actively used in approximately 450 sites, will also be used in commercial networks in the near future, uttered they aimed to reach the thousand settlements within 6 months.
Balcı said that in addition to ULAK base stations over the past year, the company developed MNMA by enabling MILAT R & D Project to become the first stage productization used intensively Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Networking Virtualization (NFV) technologies which have been recognized as one of the most important technologies of 5G.
Aim: MNMA for all communication and informatics network infrastructure
Balcı, pointing out that MNMA is produced domestically and nationally, stated that it provides the opportunity to be managed according to the instant needs of the network entralized management, observation and inspection, encrypted and cryptographic communication, message filtering, service quality and traffic flow routes on the wide area networks created using software-defined network technologies. Balcı explained that in addition to wide area network productionization endeavoring, the works on productionization towards the usage at critical networks infrastructures, in data centers of MNMA systems, at local networks are continuing.
Balcı, stating that MNMA, establishing in large corporate networks spreading throughout the country, the observation process is started in live systems, "This system which will provide secure communication between relevant, related and affiliated organizations of institutions, on the other hand, working on different systems such as internet and LTE, independent of the communication environment, ensures the continuity of communication in unexpected situations." he said.
Balcı stated that MNMA systems will provide an infrastructure which is increased the cyber security through effective monitoring and defense capabilities at every point in the network by spreading the facade defenses made at certain points to a nationally determined cyber surface.
Balcı, stressing out that it is planned that technological opportunities provided by MNMA form a basis for the domestic and national 5G infrastructure, said:
"In the 5G works carried out with the communication ecosystem, ULAK continues to design and develop the network in a way that will be controlled by MNMA. Following the native and national MNMA finding a certain place of use in our own systems, it is aimed to enter the foreign markets and to have a certain market share with its patented, original capabilities.”
