Pardus-Octopus Integrated Cyber ​​Security Project is carried out with the support of the private sector and under the leadership of TÜBİTAK National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM).

The project was initiated in order to meet the needs of cyber security of all medium and large scale information systems, especially public institutions. With the octopus "in-depth defense" strategy, it is aimed to use multiple security measures in a coordinated manner.

Owing to the operating system of the Octopus, the open source national operating system distribution is used in cyber security components.

The use of open source components ensures that systems that cannot be controlled can be avoided.

Octopus hosts a centralized management system for installation, configuration and updating.

Octopus Integrated Cyber ​​Security System with easy-to-understand installation and user guides, utilizing open source technologies to address the security needs of corporations with features such as firewall, web application, e-mail, intrusion detection / prevention, cyber attack early warning, secure connection and secure internet access systems. offers solutions.

The Pardus-Octopus Project has been used by the Turkish Armed Forces since April 21, 2016.

This year, the Eyupsultan Municipality is also used in the installation of some other institutions for the Octopus installation is done.

Currently, development and support activities are being continued in line with the needs of the institutions regarding the Octopus Project.

Repelled the attacks, passed NATO

The sites protected by the octopus gave an important test in February. DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks, which were carried out at different time intervals on February 3-6, were successfully eliminated.

The Octopus successfully completed all of the cyber security drill scenarios by participating in the NATO CWIX Exercise on June 10-29.
