Attack Helicopter in on the way of Pakistan

Ozmen, Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Communications of TAI, has informed that in a short time, they expect to have licence for the export of Attack helicopters to Pakistan.

The event of “Turkish Fighter Aircraft Industrial Collaboration Days” has been implemented in Teknopark, Ankara.

In the event, Tamer Ozmen, Corporate Marketing and Communications of TAI, gave a presentation which includes the information related to the current projects and the endeavorings carried out by TAI.  

Ozmen who also made evaluations regarding the attack helicopter project, said that the manufacturing of the most efficient attack helicopter of his class is succesfully proceeding.

Ozmen expressed that the helicopters succesfully fulfill their duties within the structure of Turkish Land Forces Command and General Commandership of Gendarmerie.

Lastly, Ozmen, reminded that a contract was signed for the export of Atak helicopter to Pakistan, said: "There are several rumors that have been put forward recently (related to postponement of delivery to Pakistan because of the issue of export licence). The process for export license is currently in progress, the news is not true, the program continues as it is. This is a normal procedure. We applied for an export license and we think we will get it soon."

In july, a contract was signed between Pakistan Defence Production Ministry and TAI for the sale of 30 attack helicopters.

TAI also takes responsibility of logistics, spares, training and ammunition in addition to the this sale.

With this contract, the largest defense industry export of Turkish Republic history which made at the same time has been carried out.
